WebDuck Designs no longer makes eCommerce websites. The reason we no longer make eCommerce websites is because eCommerce solutions like Shopify provide a cost-effective solution with a plethora of tools to get an online store up and running. The costs associated with us developing a full online store are exponentially higher than what existing eCommerce solutions charge.
How long has WebDuck Designs been in business?
WebDuck Designs has been in business since the year 2000. We started off making $500 websites for local businesses. Now in 2025 we have clients all over the United States and Canada and build custom websites for businesses of all sizes. In addition to building custom websites and WordPress websites, we also provide a variety of online marketing services for our clients.
Does WebDuck Designs build WordPress websites?
WebDuck Designs does in fact build custom WordPress websites. For years we have tried to avoid building WordPress websites and preferred to develop custom websites. However, WordPress has evolved into a very stable and robust custom website solution that we can offer at a discounted price vs a fully customized website.
Does WebDuck Designs outsource their projects?
WebDuck Designs does in fact outsource some of the tasks with project development to a design team in India. We have been working with this team for several years, so they have essentially become an extended part of our team. All our projects are built and programmed by developers in the United States. We do not outsource the actual programming of our websites or custom web apps overseas.
What company does WebDuck Designs utilize for their website and email hosting services?
WebDuck Designs uses Amazon AWS for all their hosting services. We have dedicated EC2 instances setup regularly updated and maintained. Each of our EC2 servers has burst protection enabled in the event a bot like Baidu overwhelms the server's bandwidth capacity. Burst protection spools up additional servers to help with the load until the bandwidth demand subsides. For email hosting, WebDuck Designs refers our clients to Office365. Even though we no longer offer email as a service, we do help our clients setup their email accounts as well as support them in the even of any issues.
How much does a website cost?
Each and every website is different so we cannot give an umbrella cost for a website in general. Our custom websites start at $5000 whereas our WordPress websites start at $3000.
What guarantees do you offer for your SEO and online marketing?
SEO is impossible to guarantee. We could offer a “fake” guarantee for example along the lines of “we guarantee we will get your website to rank higher for keywords” however doing so is dishonest because “rank higher for keywords” could mean any words. Google and other search engines keep their search algorithm secret from everyone including their own employees. No single person knows all the components that make up the search engine algorithm so it's not possible to guarantee any specific keyword phrase ranking.
