When To Use Flash Animation
One of the most frequently asked questions we hear regarding flash is when it should be used. Unfortunately there is no one single answer for that however there are some guidelines that you can use when deciding whether or not to use Flash animation on your website.

1. Only use small amounts of flash if you are looking to make a search engine friendly website

2. Do not use flash animation to portray a written message or as a way to give information to visitors. Text embedded within a flash animation movie cannot be seen by search engines.

3. Whenever you are using flash animation, make sure that the person constructing the animation properly optimizes the file making it as small as possible. A large flash animation file takes a long time to download and can lead to page loading issues or worse.

4. Its not recommended to use a "flicker" or "strobing" animation within your flash movies. These tend to be annoying and will drive visitors away from your site.

5. Its a good practice to give the visitor of the site the option as to whether or not to continue looping through the animation. A flash animation on a continuous loop can be a distraction from the important information on the page.
